VEDIC ART TEACHER
"My life is art. Art is my life"
Violetta Brandys, affectionately known as Viola, had a passion for painting from a young age. Viola is our friend, but she’s also a wonderfully talented painter and a Vedic Art teacher. Born in north-east Poland to her Polish father and Lithuanian mother, she grew up immersed in nature which is clearly reflected in her art today. Throughout her life, Viola has found great pleasure in art and the process of creating. Her journey has led to her discovery of Vedic Art and its simple key principles. She visited the small island of Öland, Sweden to be taught by Johannes Källman, the son of Curt Källman who was the founder of Vedic Art. Viola truly believes we are all artists and Vedic Art simply reminds us that we have the ability to create. Furthermore, it can be an opportunity to explore the parallels between art and life. She works primarily with acrylic but also enjoys experimenting with mixed media.
Viola now lives in Birmingham with her son and daughter .

"I am inspired by anything beautiful. Sometime it's a pair of eyes or flowing gorgeous hair, other times it's the sky or a sunset. I've been inspired by supple skin or the texture of a soft shirt"... Violetta Brandys
“Vedic Art is a navigation map.
Use the compass you have in your mind and find the way to the chamber of peace in your heart.
Then, when you dip your brush in the light, space,
bliss and eternity will be pictured.”
Vedic Art is a free-style, spontaneous painting method made to make you aware of everything about YOU and the life you create. It is a knowledge about Art itself and about how to achieve fullness/plenitude in your life! It highlights the talents and your strong sides. It wakes up the confidence within you to live your life fully! It shows you the problems you unconsciously create everyday and it allows you to change them quickly while experiencing fun during painting own canvas. Vedic Art is an intuitive painting method, that allows you to connect with your heart and let your inner world manifest on an empty canvas. The heart of Vedic Art holds the 17 Principles. Curt Källman learned the names of the Principles from the Indian teacher Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the year of 1974. All interpretations and exercises was formed by Curt during the 1970’s and 80’s. The origin of the Principles is the great oral tradition of ancient India. The Principles can not be found within any written source. In Vedic Art the Principles are used as important steps towards the liberation of inner creativity. They are taught in the order 1-17 and are used as essential aspects of the method.
